“I know that President-elect Trump wants the very best capability for our military at the lowest cost for taxpayers, and we’re ready to deliver!”-Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson
President-elect Trump tweeted his disapproval over the high-running costs of the F-35 military fighter jets, made by Lockheed Martin.
Due to this tweet, Lockheed Martin CEO told President-elect Trump that he has her “personal commitment” to “drive the cost down aggressively.”
President-elect Trump is no stranger to the critics .. and after his F-35 tweet, he received some criticism. Some people noted that the Lockheed Martin F-35 is superior to the Boeing F-18 Super Hornet .. and that there is no such thing as a “comparable” F-18 Super Hornet to a Lockheed Martin F-35. Nevertheless, Prez-elect Trump’s bombshell tweet helped ensure frugality and got Lockheed Martin to cut the costs of the F-35’s.
On Wednesday at Mar-a-Lago, President-elect Trump met with Boeing’s CEO and Lockheed Martin’s CEO in separate meetings.
As you saw in the statement from Lockheed Martin’s CEO, the meeting went extremely well.
Lockheed Martin has plans to build three different types of over 2,400 F-35s. These new F-35s will replace older aircraft used by the USAF, USN, and USMC. The cost of the fighter jets is estimated to be roughly $400 billion .. and operating costs are highly-expected to push the total cost over $1 trillion. We are trillions in debt and we need to be as frugal as possible — while maintaining the supreme excellence of quality that our US military needs and demands. According to reports, if the Prez-elect decided to make any changes to the F-35 program or WORSE [cancel the entire plan], then tens of thousands of jobs the company provides in 45 states would be affected. The good thing is that it does not seem like the Prez-elect will have to make any major changes to the F-35 program as the LM CEO has given Prez-elect Trump her commitment to be as frugal as possible.

Before the F-35 tweet, Prez-elect Trump dropped a bombshell tweet on Boeing’s Air Force One plan. He did not like the costs! He even called for the order to be cancelled.
According to Prez-elect Trump, the cost for the new Air Force One would be over $4 billion big ones.
“Well, the plane is totally out of control. It’s going to be over $4 billion for [the] Air Force One program. And I think it’s ridiculous. I think Boeing is doing a little bit of a number. We want Boeing to make a lot of money, but not that much money.”-President-elect Donald Trump
Despite what the President-elect said, The White House said that Trump’s statement didn’t correlate with the nature of Boeing’s deal with the Dept. of Defense. But despite what The White House said, this report claimed Trump was correct and concurred with Trump that the entire transaction would eventually end up costing $4 billion bucks! Nevertheless, Boeing’s CEO met with Prez-elect Trump and guaranteed him that the costs of the program would go down, as rapidly and as grandly as possible!
