The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has graciously allowed the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and anti-DAPL protesters to occupy an area of their land for multiple months, but now they are FINALLY telling them to get the hell out!
The anti-DAPL protests have been a sham.
If approved, the Dakota Access Pipeline would provide thousands of jobs for U.S. citizens [anywhere between 8,000 and 12,000 jobs]. The anti-DAPL protestors / rioters have said that the oil pipeline will contaminate their river water, despite there being no evidence that it will.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers notified the tribe that on December 5th [in just about 10 days], they will be forced to leave the federal property.
The tribe has set up camp, along with other anti-DAPL protesters, and have occupied the U.S. Army property for months.
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Chairman said he was really disappointed by the U.S. Army’s decision to take back control of their own property. He then said that “our resolve to protect our water is stronger than ever.”
Here’s the official document / statement that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says that they are kicking the tribe off of the property for their own safety — and to prevent [potential] violent conflicts between law enforcement officials and radical, liberal protestors. Also, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers GRACIOUSLY set up a ‘free-speech zone’ [the zone is located off of federal property] for anti-DAPL protesters to convey their message in a peaceful manner!
The Chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe issued this statement, in response to the eviction notice:
“It is both unfortunate and disrespectful that this announcement comes the day after this country celebrates Thanksgiving — a historic exchange of goodwill between Native Americans and the first immigrants from Europe. Although the news is saddening, it is not at all surprising given the last 500 years of the mistreatment of our people.”
The 1,172-mile long pipeline would be ECONOMICALLY-AMAZING for this country. And the selfish, anti-DAPL protestors have refused to allow the pipeline to be built! The project is currently halted due to the protests / riots. One tribe-member even lit a man’s truck on fire, in ‘protest’ of the pipeline, but the mainstream, liberally-biased media did not cover it!
[Here’s the knucklehead that lit a man’s truck on fire … Why? Because he’s mad about the pipeline or something.]
Despite the pipeline protestors, the CEO behind the Dakota Access Pipeline has said that they will build the pipeline! Click this link, to hear the Energy Transfer Partners CEO, Kelcy Warren, tell the tribe that the pipeline will be built.
