There (of course) are multiple rumors circulating that Perry may get a spot in the Trump Cabinet. Of course the liberal media is trying to spin this into a (somewhat) negative story. The liberal media is bringing up the fact that Gov. Perry once called Trump a “cancer on conservatism.” Well of course he once called Trump that! It was back in the GOP Primary when all candidates hurled harsh blows at each other! That’s how politics work! But now that Trump is the President-elect, basically all Republicans are fully supporting him! (Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that he said she was “unqualified” in the Democratic Primary! But of course the liberal media didn’t bring that up! So why are they making a big deal about Gov. Perry’s comments? LIBERAL MEDIA BIAS.)
The main rumor is that Gov. Perry could be put in a position [in the Trump Administration] that oversees energy, agriculture, or the VA. But there’s also a rumor floating about Gov. Perry potentially being selected as Trump’s Defense Secretary. But, to me at least, the clear favorite for Trump’s Defense Secretary is General Mattis!
“He’s excited about the new administration and the potential for Trump to really be transformational. And there are a lot of assets that Gov. Perry would bring to a Trump administration.”-Dave Carney (Gov. Perry confidant)
One week ago, Gov. Perry made a post on his Instagram that displayed his strong enthusiasm for President-elect Trump!
After Gov. Perry dropped out of the GOP Primary, he ultimately came around to endorsing (and supporting) Trump!
“He (Trump) is not a perfect man. But what I do believe is that he loves this country and he will surround himself with capable, experienced people and he will listen to them.”-Gov. Perry
President-elect Trump has also called Gov. Perry a “great governor” and has publicly expressed interest in bringing Gov. Perry aboard his administration.
We will see if Gov. Perry lands a spot in President-elect Trump’s administration! I have a strong feeling that he will! As of right now, we don’t know much about the meeting between Gov. Perry and President-elect Trump — but I have a feeling it went just fine!
